I have managed to permanently internalize this sentence by replacing each word with an equivalent and then slowly shifting it back.

"Mighty bells hearty maidens ring vibrate nearby chairs."

Then move it slightly closer to see how it starts to line up.

"Mighty bells mighty bells ring ring mighty bells."

Closer...

"Mighty bells mighty bells bell bell mighty bells."

Nice technique! I went straight at it, lol.

What was the teacher's reaction?

From my recollections, not much. I was on a practicum in his classroom, so it was different from the usual teacher/student dynamics. It was a great teachable moment though!

In the world there have always been people who prefer to fit in and those who prefer to explore boundaries. All the people who love fitting in will continue to adopt whatever mainstream thing is happening and will continue to look and sound generic and boring.

Those who prefer exploring boundaries immediately go in the other direction and find clever and creative ways to stand out and have a unique voice. The more generic everyone else is, the more these people are driven to go the other way.

As a result, as before, the easy, generic things will be cheap and disposable and the thoughtful and creative will be valuable. If you want to be valuable you have to be thoughtful and creative, not cheap and generic.

What service do you use now?

I've switched to US Mobile. I haven't used it on an extended basis internationally yet, but I am about to travel internationally, so will find out soon. That said, the reviews are pretty good by people that use it internationally for an extended period of time.

Super cool! Excited to try it.

.poorly-known

Unfortunately. It's a great solution to a problem lots of tools face. A pity that people trying to establish new standards aren't aware of it aparently.

I'm a little disappointed there's no standard for /.well-known/list that points to things made available under /.well-known/ on that domain.

Doesn't need to be everything, just ones you want discoverable. Only other way to do it is trying every one you know.

Good idea actually. You could just make /.well-known an index page

"it has no annoying fans"

I beg to differ ;)

Hey!… no yeah you’re right.

That it has no fans or the fans are annoying?

They're making a joke using the double meaning of the word fans

I think they’re talking about Apple fans, not laptop fans

Shots fired!

Credit where credit is due

Wise guy. That said, upvoted for cleverness.

what is this, slashdot? 

was it ever not?

How does this compare to FlorisBoard?

Florisboard does not have swipe gesture typing which is basically a deal breaker for me

It has had it for a few years.

You know children got raped, right?

I think the clue’s in the username…

How would you do it?
