Between state actors, AI competitors and criminals, there's a lot of people who wouldn't mind access to a dump of 20M ChatGPT logs.

Showing substantial copyright infringement of the New York Times seems about the only thing it wouldn't be any good for.


The third-party doctrine was a terrible mistake.


What?


He's talking about how it's legal and common in the US for governmental agencies to work around the fourth amendment by obtaining the information they want from a third party who has it legally and is willing to give it over.

It's a genuine travesty.
