By the time AI can replace Human Devs, it'll also be able to replace almost all jobs that involve working on a computer.
That will trigger mass unemployment and our current economic system could collapse and need replacing with a new system, hopefully one where the profits of AI are shared around more equally.
As far as the jobs that could be automated away soon go, I'd say that being a developer is one of the least likely to be automated away in the short term and it may be one of the last to be automated.
I prefer the Alternate Reality where businesses are now finally run as they should be: managers describing issues using technical terms that are fed into a machine to produce desired outputs.
