I can't find the option. If I go to the google admin console and click (?) I don't have 'Contact Support' because I don't have an expensive enough Google Workspaces subscription. Is there a way to switch back to legacy free from the Workspace Essentials, or do I need to upgrade to an expensive subscription so I can open a case so I can switch back to the free plan?
I think chat support is a paid option only. When I did the transition option, it put me on "Business Starter", but I wouldn't be charged $3 until next month I think.
I followed the instructions and got the confirmation email. But in Admin console under billing > subscription, my subscription is still showing google workspace business starter. Are you seeing the same?

If you follow the instructions and go to the '?' > 'Contact Support', there is an option for switching back to the legacy edition.
