Having been working at large companies where I had the "chance" to inherit some legacy code, I cannot express how much I wished someone had known about the technical debt we faced with the old code. Spent months just fixing issues... I am very much delighted to see this can actually be measured: the sad fact is that managers don't really focus on tech debt up until the point it is out if control and one of the reasons is that it hasn't been tangible enough for them. Until now.


Yes. I think this is something technical people usually forget: you need to be able to quantify technical debt somehow in order to get relevant. Otherwise it seems that tech people wanting everything to be cool and shiny
