I would not be surprised to find 10% is a low estimate.

To first order, for each person falsely incarcerated, somebody guilty went free. But white-collar criminals are normally not even arrested. Sometimes they are invited to promise not to do it anymore. Often not that.


I think that number is for people who are completely innocent. This doesnt include people who had their rights violated, unfair trials, etc.
