Edit: The website now redirects to https://donor.watch/ which allows you to pick the political party.

Found a $360k on the same zip as a $100k whose wife added $50k.

Edit: aaand that’s the new US-french ambassador

I have to say, this is both scary and fascinating. I'm surprised to see how many people donated to trump in Seattle where I live. At the same time outing people is not cool.

No matter how much you dislike Trump, this is a really bad thing.

You may think that Trump is horribly evil, and that people who support him need to be exposed (with the chance of being threatened or even attacked). But do you think it's always going to be the side that you think is right that is going to be doing the exposing, threatening, and attacking? Or do you think that the side that is evil might use such tactics? Might even be more likely to do so?

You even might look at this as grounds for questioning which side is evil - or at least for deciding that the good side has some evil people on it.

Yes, some random guy on the internet created a website, and now I'm all confused...

what? campaign contributions are public information.

And people wonder how it's possible that a "shy Trump vote" could exist. A map like this treats them like they're pedophiles or something.

As much as every indicator shows a Biden victory - I'm half expecting there's an even larger unseen effect this year and every Nate Silver type will be eating crow.

is this based on public information?

Candidates and political parties come and go. Do you really want to live in a world where this tool can be used to coerce your vote?

Please note that I'm not voting for Trump (I'm writing in candidates for President this year), and I have never donated any money to any political organization.
