Why do you think it's unnecessary? I don't think I could function without it.

Granted, I wish it had scheduling, partial whitelisting, notification collection, and whatnot but at least the basic functionality is there.

Also, if you find yourself sharing your screen, just option+click the Notification center in the top right to enable Do Not Disturb mode.



I think the OP is talking specifically about the way you activate Do Not Disturb.
