I guess for coding if you’re not first you’re last, but this is damn impressive considering. It looked like they pulled the coding model from the benchmarks, but it was similar.
I used this for a bit and I felt like it was slower and generally worse than using 200K with context compaction. Context compaction does lose some things though.
Because the person who owns this company is using this very money to elect evil people that wreck havoc in the world and I dont want to have anything to do with that
I'm reminded by the character Russell Crowe portrayed in the film Body of Lies when he reminded DiCaprio's character that "no one is innocent in this shit, Ferris." before he declined his job offer.
I’ve been using Rakuten more recently and it’s provided some alternatives to Amazon where I’m able to get things more cheaply from other stores. If you don’t mind waiting for shipping, give it a try.
Or ask Gemini what the best deal is, it’s found some good ones.
For smaller stuff, Amazon is usually better than Target or whatever box store nearby.
For me, the answer was smoking. I made a ton of friends that way. Always went out to a pool hall, a bar, or a nice patio so I could smoke. It was great. You can’t smoke in your rental so you gotta get out and find places to smoke. Few states you can do it in anymore though. I moved to a state with a smoking ban and quit smoking, no point to it. Don’t get out as much nowadays.
I watched this video that proposed that the way to quit phone addiction was to give your hands something else to fiddle with, proposing that in older societies, people spent massive amounts of time on mindless hand work like weaving baskets, knitting, sharpening spears, etc.
> I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels Apple’s quality is degrading.
Tbh I don’t really feel this way. We all agree hands down that Macbook has the best hardware. Apple Silicon has been a huge success for speed and power consumption. I haven’t used the newest macOS but like the butterfly keyboard and touch bar I assume they’ll work out (or fix by reverting) the issues. It’s probably not even that bad. Sonoma is still receiving security updates so I’m good for now.
And most of the things that people want in a non-MacBook laptop are still a few years before falling off patent.
I’m fine waiting and playing around with Framework or Steam machines until then if I need another hobby.
