Leadership requires hourly updates all the way down to me so I barely get anything done

I always wonder how they justify stuff like that. What's the cost of producing those updates (including the opportunity cost of not doing something else) vs the value of the report?

I guess ai is putting people out of work just by funding issues and not actually replacing them

Yet everybody is happy giving plaid and therefore palintir there entire financial history and future data

It's funny how some banks even disallow you from copy-pasting your routing and account numbers to make it harder to manually set up payments that way

Which banks do that?

I don't remember, but Chase used to until a couple of years ago

Whataboutism isn't helpful, or relevant.

I’m not sure about this. I’ve been 100% ai since jan/1 and I’m way more productive at producing code.

The non code parts (about 90% of the work) is taking the same amount of time though.

Any successful app will be copied by openAI and integrated

Oh dang, no wonder they’re auto coding so much garbage in public (crap c compiler, crap browser, crap salesforce).

The timing of the Claude Code guerilla marketing campaign that seems to have started around new years is now making much more sense.

It's wild watching people fall for it

how is this guerilla marketing?

The browser was done by cursor, not anthropic, no?

Does it work better for the intended purpose than their browser experiments? No… no it doesn’t

Gcc and clang are part of the training set, the fact that it did as bad as it did is what’s shocking

There are lots of C compilers (LCC, TCC, SDCC, an army of hobby projects C compilers) available as open-source.

I am curious about what results would be for something like a lexer + parser + abstract machine code generator generation for a made up language

> Imagine if Siri could genuinely file your taxes

No sane person would let an AI agent file their taxes

This is AI enhanced workflows eating SaaS. I’d be scared if I ran a SaaS
