Then you gotta read this

Some of the companies listed went from good to great to below average to completely gone.

http://freakonomics.com/2008/07/28/from-good-to-great-to-bel...

As the author points out in the above link

"The future is always hard to predict, and understanding the past is valuable; on the other hand, the implicit message of these business books is that the principles that these companies use not only have made them good in the past, but position them for continued success."

Another example that comes to mind is Ron Johnson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Johnson_(businessman)

He did great at Target and then at Apple but almost brought down JC Pennny

What is a good change here is simplicity of language & clarity - Who Am I?, Why am I here, Why are you here and What do we do next. A good departure from corporate bs that is spewed when there is a change of guard. That said Satya Nadella has a task like none other in the business. Good Luck to Satya and MSFT.

Anyone wonder who might have paid this high an amount to bail this kid out? half a million is not a chump change for many millionaires or multi millionaires...but could be for someone who is a multi billionaire... And which multi billionaire would have 'soft' side to a facebook comment by a young kid..19 yr kid...maybe someone who probably would have said brash things himself when at that age...(not implying that he would have in same context) ...so could that be Zuckerberg? 1/2 million is a chump change for him and has obviously affiliation to see people not stop commenting on FB. Just wondering

Whoever bailed the kid out did not pay $500,000 -- they paid either 10% or 15% (i.e., $50,000 or $75,000) to a bail bondsman as a non-refundable bond, and the bail bondsman then paid the $500,000 to the state.

It's still a nice gesture.

My guess is it was Johnny Depp.

Yep I ran into the same issue and now looks like the page is up so its fine. So if it is a success its good if not redirects?

No, the way AP's etc work is on request of any url it verifies that they have logged in or done what ever. Since the iphone is requesting that URL it can detect if there is an AP and then prompt the login stuff. Really it's not that big of a deal lol.

I am a iPhone user for last 3 years and luv it. I wasnt exactly enamored with Android - the software+hardware design didnt really compete with iPhone. But have to admit the UX on Win 7 phone was refreshing and maybe even made iPhone's UX old. But the notion of having contacts central to your mobile experience is inaccurate...you use mobile for much more than just communicating with your contacts. I watch movies, track sports scores and my stock performance...which have little to do with communicating with my contacts

Sears does this already with their mygofer.com service.
