To add to this, Apple has the subscriptions panel on iOS in the settings app showing you everything on your account including third party apps as long as you subscribed through apps instead of websites.
Does the tesla wall connector offer Ethernet? Honestly I feel like most devices that are not expected to move around should at least offer it as an option (exceptions being for things where it’s not feasible like smart bulbs, smart locks, etc). If anything it’ll remove congestion for things that can’t realistically be wired.
OTOH it would be super cool if we normalized wiring light sockets, outlets, and wall switches with low-voltage ethernet cable and had a simple way for mass-produced lightbulbs to plug into a wired network.
Too many problems to count:
- High voltage and low voltage wiring should generally be kept separated for safety reasons. Light sockets could probably be moved to low-voltage-only to power just LED bulbs but this wouldn't work for wall outlets which need to be 120-240V. Plus I like having the option to install 120V halogen bulbs wherever color rendering really matters!
- We'd also have to "normalize" having a separate network just for IoT stuff that only communicated in/out of its own LAN boundary via an actually-secure gateway with generic open protocols. (Pipe dream without government enforced standards similar to or piggy-backing on building codes)
- (Most) electricians notoriously suck at understanding low-voltage wiring.
- Probably more that I'm too lazy to think about but these two are already show stoppers for the next 10-30 years.
It’s hard to trust a company when when they’ve already demonstrated that they [can’t be trusted](https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2026/02/discord-faces-ba...). And i’m sure there will be an argument of “but this will make it more likely that they’ll be safe about it to not have a repeat”, which will likely be true for a while. Then cost-cutting offloading to a third party that promises to not keep the data, or a new feature will come in that needs the photos, or a misconfiguration will happen where things that should be deleted won’t be, and we’ll be in the same boat again.
I believe it. After playing the game crackdown for a week or so, I started to constantly map out how to get up the outside of apartment buildings near me. Mirrors edge had a similar effect on me too.
Additionally, it’s usually more effort to refute something than to state something, especially as it seems there is little requirement for proof when making the statement.
Very much depends on the style of motorcycle. Sitting on my dual-sport BMW F650GS[1] I can see well over sedans on the road and this is with a slightly lowered version of it.
Steering position has been taught as 9 and 3 for a long time now… but still fair point. You can add a bit of alcantara to the seat to help you stay in place though. My RDX has it for the sporty-ish trim and it helps.
Or live somewhere with no weather and moderate temperatures so no need for any of them minus the turn signals. It’s my pet theory of why tesla’s auto wiper setting is so bad: they’re located somewhere without rain/snow or without varying amounts of rain/snow.
How many more excuses for an incomplete vehicle can we make for this company?
Lucid, Rivian, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai/Kia, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, and BMW all have design studios in California. They don’t all have this problem.
Do we really think that Tesla engineers and product managers have never seen rain or snow before? And if so what kind of lame excuse is that?
Aren’t some of Tesla’s biggest markets in cold weather climates? Places like Canada, New England, Scandinavia, Germany, and China (Beijing).
