The article said these students only interned at Google. Is it typical for interns at Google to get $145K after internship? What type of work experience is required?

The says the offers were made after the internship, so this sounds pretty normal for solid engineers. Also this may include equity and signing bonuses, etc...

Why is this update not showing up in my Mac? I'm on 2.0.8 and when I checked for update it says that 2.0.8 is the latest version.

Edit: Nevermind, looks like this has been answered. VLC waits a week before releasing the update to the public.
