I have an impression that you miss to set expectations about what trendhacker.news really is. I look at it and I see a mixture of topics which have very little in common - e.g. books recommended by Bill Gates, next to it an information about pharmacy franchise company bought by another company - i.e. non-tech information followed with some military information. Are you just randomly extracting info from HN and putting a picture to it?
Could you please shed some light (and consider putting a one-liner somewhere to the top of the page) what to expect from trendhacker.news?
I like the design and the price is affordable from my perspective. I got into the checkout-phase and I was surprised to see free shipping to Slovakia, Europe. Is that really the case? :)
+1 for option to try it out without email sign-up. I hate it to sign-up everywhere (for trial access as well) with my emails. I went directly with this option.
I haven't heard about the pomodoro concept, but it sounds interesting and I definitely want to try it out. Your app looks like a nice way to start.
I feel there's still some work on the design part to be done as currently it looks very "plain".
What are the options - novice, intermediate, advanced in the settings? Also, how much does your service cost?
Definitely an interesting concept. It works well on mobile (better than on desktop from my perspective).
What are the categories of places that appear in the list? Is there any dynamics in the list? How often is the list re-created? It's not fully clear to me what items appear in your list. Can we also expect to see future events (like concerts tonight, gallery expositions,...)?
Is is possible to see/filter from categories? It would be great to add more cities to the list. I'd love to have this in Europe!
Do I understand right that this is an agregator for local online marketplaces (facebook marketplace, letgo...)?
What's meant by one-time transaction fee "-5.25%"? Does it mean that you give some discount? To whom? To seller or to the buyer?
Are you limited to any regions (US/EU/...?)
I tried to log-in using my facebook account (as a buyer, then also as a seller), but the login process was stuck for more than a minute before I cancelled it.
I don't really get what's the added value of your service. Is it that you arrange the delivery for items that are meant to be picked-up locally?
Very good idea. Usually the way I choose movies is that I (on IMDB) read the plot, then ratings, afterwards the category and finally eventually reviews/comments.
Any chance to add the other information to the list as well? It would be interesting to list the movies by categories as I tend to skip 'romance' :)
Also, I like the minimalist design of the website. I think it suits well the purpose.
Nice presentation page, but it doesn't explain how does this work. It says I can host my own podcasts. What exactly is meant by that? I can host podcast on a hard-drive on a machine with public IP. Or I can host the podcasts on AWS S3. What's the added value of your tool?
What's the architecture of your solution? What are the benefits? I can look into the source myself, but if the tool is meant for an average audio-blogger who is not a SW developer (who would look into github and try to understand what this is by reading the source), then I guess you need to share more info on this matter. Is this command-line only? If this has a GUI, any chance to see some screenshots? Does this allow streaming? If so, how? Does this tool come bundled with a web-server?
From my perspective if you want people to try this out a little you need to set some (positive) expectations.
Thanks for sharing. This looks really good. Any chance to add a custom resolution to the list? Also thanks for the ability to have first 5 sites free of charge.
Also, 30 mins have passed and I haven't received any reply :)
