I agree... I also think that for people with specific use cases, the rapid depreciation means that there are great deals available for used LEAFs. I wouldn't buy one new now.
Back when the Leaf was eligible for the $7,500 federal rebate, that accounted for a pretty big chunk of the depreciation for the lower trims. MSRP was in the $28,500 neighborhood. Minus $7,500, leaves you at $21,000. Or 26% hit the day you drive it off the lot.
Might take a while before anyone can get it at $35k: "The GM brand will begin Equinox EV production with two higher priced trims, a front-wheel-drive RS model that starts at $48,995 and an all-wheel-drive variant at $52,395"
I'll believe it when I see it - every manufacturer has recently warned about excess EV inventory, so they're almost certainly not gonna go out their way to get the lowest margin version out
I had the main rupture under my floor which is a concrete slab. so Instead of breaking the concrete I routed a new line from the outside directly to the back of my bathroom wall, where there was a small space behind the shower to access the plumbing. Luckily there was no concrete underneath the bathroom tub so I made a hole with a power washer and a very long extension wand for it, directly vertical. In this hole I put the strong neodymium magnet. Now from the outside I was able to locate exactly where my other hole was with my app. This way I was able to install a new main into my house with no damage to my structure.
